You need to love yourself before you can let others love you. People will treat you the way you treat yourself, and if you’re not loving yourself then they can’t fully love you.
There’s a limit to how far and how long that can last before you ruin a relationship because you don’t accept that love, as it conflicts with the beliefs you have about yourself.
